A Black Minority Ethnic (BME) Staff Network within the CPS

We seek to:

* Challenge racism with the CPS and wider Criminal Justice System (CJS)

*Educate on issues of racism

*Change the culture of the CPS and the wider CJS for the benefit of the communities we serve

We believe that:

* all staff should be treated with dignity and respect

* the NBCPA should be consulted on all issues relating to the recruitment, retention, progression, development and promotion of staff

*the aim of delivering race equality is a challenge for us all

We shall:

*provide support and advice to all members

*give members a voice both internally and externally

*confront racism within the organisation

*promote unity and respect among all our members
